Dr. Luis Lapa Bessa, DDS

Dr. Luis Bessa has graduated from ISCS-N (Instituto Superior de Ciencias da Saude do Norte) in 2008. Since surgery has always been his passion, he has continued his education in UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), receiving his degree of specialist in Oral Surgery and Bucomaxilofacial Traumatology, and a title of postgraduation in Orthognatic Surgery from the Brazilian College of Oral and Maxilofacial Surgery, in 2012. 

Education is also one of Dr. Luis Bessa interests. Apart from participating as a speaker in several international conferences since 2012, he has been the head of the Maxillofacial Surgery course in University Fernando Pessoa in 2013, and he is currently an invited professor for Implant Dentistry Posgraduate course at ISCN-Cespu, Portugal.

As a oral surgeon he has a strong focus on minimally invasive ridge reconstruction with autologous tissues. He is also part of several researches on biomaterials and blood concentrates.

Dr. Luis Bessa is the clinical director of the WHITE CLINIC in Porto, Portugal, and the head of the Oral/Reconstructive Surgery Department, where he practiced advanced digital dentistry protocols to enhance the outcome of the treatments.

He is the founder of a newborn educational project, @northeducation where he teaches his philosophy of work during the one year clinical residence program and promote several hands on courses with top international speakers.
