Temporary abutments are provisional prosthetic components that connect to the implant or multi-unit abutment to support temporary restorations during healing. Intended for short-term use, they help maintain soft tissue contours until placement of the final prosthesis.

How It Works?

A temporary abutment is connected directly to the implant (or multi-unit abutment) after placement. Once secured, it serves as the base for a provisional crown or bridge.

The clinician can adjust and shape the abutment chairside to create the desired emergence profile. A temporary restoration is then fabricated and cemented onto the abutment.

During healing, the temporary restoration helps maintain soft tissue contour and protects the implant site until the final prosthesis is delivered.

System Compatibility

System compatibility is defined strictly by the implant connection type and platform diameter.
Platform diameter and connection type must always match the implant system.
