Course Overview

This blended programme combines online pre-recorded lectures and a two- day hands-on training course.
The focus is on periodontal therapy, peri- implantitis management, and cosmetic/perio-plastic surgical procedures to enhance clinical skills and business outcomes for dental professionals.

A: Pre-Recorded Lectures
(3 hours with demonstration Videos)
Lecture 1: The Need for Periodontal Therapy and How to Achieve Results for You and Your Business (1 hour)
• Importance of periodontal health in overall dental care.
• Evidence-based outcomes of effective periodontal therapy.
• Building patient trust and increasing practice revenue through periodontal services.
• Case studies showcasing successful periodontal interventions.

Lecture 2: Peri-Implantitis Management – No Need to Ignore It, It’s Not Going Away. (1 hour pre-recorded)
• Understanding peri-implantitis: etiology, prevalence, and risk factors.
• Non-surgical and surgical approaches to peri-implantitis management.
• Preventive strategies and patient education.
• Long-term maintenance for implant success.

Lecture 3: Cosmetic and Perio-Plastic Surgical Procedures 1 hour (pre-recorded)
• Gingival contouring for aesthetic outcomes.
• Crown lengthening: functional and aesthetic indications.
• Soft tissue enhancement around implants for optimal aesthetics and function.
• Patient selection and treatment planning for perio-plastic procedures.

B. Two-Day Hands-On Course
(8 hours per day In-person training, including breaks)

Day 1: Periodontal Therapy and Non-Surgical Peri- Implantitis Management

• Surgical and Minimally Invasive Periodontal Flaps: Indications, Flap Design and Regenerative materials
• Tissue Excision Techniques: Gingivectomy and use of laser for tissue excision
• Non-Surgical Peri-implantitis Management: Protocols for debridement, antimicrobial therapy, and maintenance

• Practice flap design

• Gingivectomy (use of lasers or scalpels)
• Suture techniques
• Crown Lengthening
